Thank the cashier of your favorite store

Sure enough, it’s polite to say thank you. We learned that early on, and that’s the way it should be.
We say thank you for gifts, special favours, and assistance in times of need. But it’s not only the big things where thank you matters.
If I’m being honest, my small ‘thank you’s’ are sometimes more of an automatism than a heartfelt THANK YOU.
Nowadays, I look for something specific that I can thank someone for. For example yesterday, at the grocery store checkout, I thanked the lady for always greeting me with so much enthusiasm. And I got a big smile in return.
Tip for today:
Say a heartfelt Thank You to the cashier in the store.
Saying thank you is the simplest form of expressing gratitude and the attitude of gratitude is what keeps us happy.
Saying thank you means you are grateful for the things that happened to you as a result of someone else’s effort. It will not only help you to feel better but also benefit you in unpredictable ways.
Thanking others never makes you inferior. In fact, it shows a great sign of respect for another person, for his time and presence in your life.
Saying ‘thank you’ is the simplest way to say ‘I appreciate you’. People also feel more motivated when they are appreciated and praised. It indicates that you recognise their effort. This may even encourage them to go the extra mile.
When you make someone feel important and appreciated, you brighten up their days in the smallest of ways. And they are more likely to pass on that feeling to someone else. When you say thank you, it also makes people more willing to do something for you again in the future.
Studies have confirmed that the simple act of saying ‘thank you’ can lead you to a happier life. When you express your thankfulness to others, it not only makes others feel great but also makes you feel great.
When you say ‘thank you’, you are more attractive. It’s human nature to be attracted to the one who spread positive energy and saying thank you is one of the simplest and most effective ways to spread that energy.
And it’s not just people you attract but also other things and objects. When you appreciate the ways life is being kind to you, you attract more joy, happiness, and abundance.
