Send a friend a book you liked reading

Show me your books and I’ll tell you who you are. A statement that is absolutely right. When you see someone’s bookcase, you learn a lot about their tastes, interests, development, …

So, giving away a book out of your bookcase is as giving a little piece of yourself. Especially if you add a personal note. A message that says why you liked it, what you learned from it, why you think the recipient would like this book.

Tip for today
Choose one of your favourite books from your bookcase and send it to a friend with a personal message.

I admit it, I find it hard to say goodbye to books I have loved to read, even though I am never going to read them again. And I keep hoping for oceans of time for all the books on my shelves that I haven’t read yet.  But according to the decluttering guru Marie Kondo, I’m doing myself a favour by getting rid of those books.
And although it’s not easy, knowing that I can make a friend smile surprising them with one of my books,  makes this process much easier!
