Send a card

Send a lonely person a personal card

In recent weeks, all members of our service club (Rotary Mol, Belgium) have handwritten postcards to lonely elderly, living in Residential Care Centers.

We do not know these residents, but everyone got a personal message. Receiving a handwritten card means just that little more:

  • It’s permanent: emails and texts fade away between all other electronic messages. But a card makes them relive the feeling of joy.
  • It shows you care: They know the effort it takes to write a card. They appreciate you going above and beyond to make them feel special.
  • It works calming: A card that shows them the ‘outside world’ sympathizes with them, can calm their minds.
  • It makes them smile
  • It makes you feel good

Tip for today: send a card to an elderly.
