Hide easter eggs throughout your home

Hide easter eggs

Our kids are no longer in the target group of the Easter Bunny. They are 24, 23, 22, 22, 21 and almost 16. So the bunny passes our home in silence…

And that’s such a shame. Because what is more fun than an easter egg hunt?

That’s why assist the Easter Bunny by hiding eggs all over the house. The kids still get their basket to go and get as many eggs as possible in as short a time as possible.

Sometimes they miss one. And it gives me a smile when I find that one months later.

Tip for today
Hide Easter eggs in your house.

Children are mainly interested in collecting the eggs, not so much in eating all the chocolate afterwards.

So as a health freak I searched for a healthy alternative for my children ….

I bought a whole bunch of plastic eggs that you could open and fill (and reuse every year).  I put different things inside.  That made not only the hunting fun, but the opening afterwards too.

These are some of the things I put in the eggs:

  • cherry tomatoes
  • blueberries
  • cookies
  • a kind note
  • homemade granola balls
  • dried fruit
  • nuts
  • popcorn
  • mini toys
  • mini vegetables
  • a balloon (not blown 😉
  • cheerios (ok, ok, not so healthy, but Arthur’s favourite cereal….)

Pff, now I sometimes get really tired when I look back and see what I was getting myself into …

But hey, for all young dynamic parents with small children: Go for it!
In retrospect, I had so much fun with it and the smiles it created are priceless.
