Consequently, if we don’t register them or worse, if we accept these negative beliefs as the truth, it becomes difficult to turn them into positivity.

Wear a bracelet (or rubber band) today and change it from one wrist to another every time you notice a negative thought. The challenge, of course, is not to have to change the bracelet all day long. 

This will make you more mindful of your thoughts. And that is the first step to feeling good and smiling more.
