Organise a clothes swap with your friends

Swap clothes with friends

I don’t know how many times I’ve stood in front of my closet and complained that I had nothing to wear. Off course there are still plenty of clothes, but after a while, I become weary of repeatedly wearing the same pieces.

So, if your wardrobe is also in desperate need of an update and you want to be kind to the environment by doing something durable, a clothing swap with friends might be a fun alternative.

A clothing swap is a party where each one brings clothing and accessories they don’t need anymore. And then you can start to trade, barter, or donate clothes to your friends while breathing some new life into your own closet.
Remember the old saying that someone’s trash is another person’s treasure?

Tip for today
Organise a clothes swap with your friends (and give the ‘unswapped’ clothes to charity).

Unfortunately, in Corona times, we cannot hosts these parties in our homes – unless you do it outside with max 4 persons. But I guess in wintertime it is not very comfy to try your new outfit in the cold.

So count on the technology once again to host a virtual swap party.

A story about wearing clothes of other people goes viral in Taiwan:

Two geriatric laundromat owners have become Taiwan’s latest viral sensation by posing for a series of photos wearing clothes left behind by their customers.

Having spent decades running a laundromat in the coastal city of Taichung, Hsu Sho-Er, 84, and her husband, Chang Wan Ji, 83, are now proving a hit on Instagram after their grandson set up an account for them in June. Any items left at the laundromat for over a year are considered fair game.
