A boy and his dog

Animals often have a healing effect on people.
An example of this is the beautiful story of Owen Hawkins and Haatchi, an Anatolian Shepherd dog. The friendship between the two has helped both boy and dog in many ways.
When Haatchi was less than a year old, Haatchi was deliberately tied to a railroad line in North London and was hit by a train. The incident cost the poor animal his tail and one of his legs.
Owen suffers from a rare medical condition called Schwartz-Jampel syndrome. It causes his muscles to cramp involuntarily. Because of this disorder Owen didn’t dare to go outside anymore and was lonely and unhappy.
But then Owen met Haatchi – and the boy and the dog immediately became best friends. Thanks to their incredibly beautiful bond of friendship, both the boy and the dog are happy.
A loving story!
