Savour your morning drink

For the last 20 years, I looked forward to the first week of march,  when my best friend and me escaped to the Spanish sun for a week: to recharge our batteries and to enjoy life!

We were 2 ‘busy bees’ who never sat still. The moment we opened our eyes,  we started the day full of energy and plans.

Until Mieke became ill and life suddenly became very different. We still went to Spain, but on a slower pace, which actually was beneficial for us both.

From her, I learned how nice it is to stop time (even if it’s only for a minute) and enjoy your first morning drink in peace. To sit down and consciously taste your coffee, your tea, your green smoothie, your ginger shot, …..

I continued to do this back home, even when the day started hectic and there was too little time and so much to do. I recommend it to every one. You will notice that this short moment for yourself will make your day way better!

Tip for today
Take your time, sit down, close your eyes and taste your favourite morning drink. 

If you make this healthy breakfast, which takes less than 2 minutes,
you’ll have plenty of time left to sit down and enjoy !
