Bring a warm drink to someone who works outside

This tip complements our tip from January 12 – thank someone who has to work in the cold. You can go a step further and bring these people a hot drink too.
Behind our garden is a large meadow. One day in January, they were taking out the old trees.
I put coffee in a thermos, brought milk and sugar, and went to bring those men a hot drink. They were surprised, but smiled, and so was I. I did not know them, but we enjoyed our coffee together in the cold and had a nice chat.
Believe it or not, that coffee and that chat made my day warm…
Tip for today
Bring a warm drink to someone who is working outside.
You choose a hot drink when it’s cold because it warms you up. Or so it seems anyway.
But in reality, it’s unlikely that drinking a hot beverage, will raise your body temperature. And even if it does, the increase is minimal.
Still, the momentary rise in temperature for your hands, mouth and stomach can feel comforting. So if you’re looking for a physical and mental reward to forget the cold for a while, a comforting hot drink is ideal.
