Write to a former teacher a thank-you note

A few weeks ago, the tip on 365 Smiles was to thank your children’s teacher.
But you too will probably have had a teacher who had a (positive) impact on you.
Maybe it was a long time ago. But it’s never too late to say thanks. Writing the ‘thank you’ letter is easy (below you’ll find tips). Tracing a retired teacher can be a challenge. Fortunately, social media exists and maybe your old school can help you.
Tip for today
Write a ‘thank-you’ letter to a former teacher.
This teacher has a real important life lesson for his pupils….
I had a teacher in fifth grade who taught me some great life lessons about discipline and enjoying life at the fullest. Last year, I looked up her address and wrote her a letter to thank her for this.
She wrote me back with Christmas. She is now 92 and writes:
“I still travel 3 times a year by bus…. Every day I dust my furniture and every day I drink my glass of red wine”. Isn’t this great? I love her!
Thank you, Miss Peeters, for all that you meant for your pupils!
