Visualise your perfect day

Two weeks ago I was with 4 girlfriends, when we decided to try our luck with Euromillions. Unfortunately, we didn’t win, but we had a lot of fun fantasizing about what we would do with all that money. (I actually won 4 euro. The jackpot was 40 million euro).

Fantasizing or should I say visualising, is so much fun when you allow yourself to go “all the way”. Without letting your rational side take over. Don’t let your brain tell you that it is impossible. In your mind everything is possible.  And dreaming about it gives you pleasure and is like of mini vacation for your brain.

By the way, it has been scientifically proven that visualisation is good for you both physically and mentally.

Tip for today
Take a moment and fantasize about your ideal day, without any restrictions. Everything is possible in your imagination.

Dreaming about it offers no guarantee that that your ideal day will ever come. But if you can’t imagine it, it certainly won’t happen.

Here are some questions to ask yourself to get going:

  • What time do you wake up?
  • Where do you wake up? If you don’t wake up at home, where is home? What does your home look like?
  • What is the weather like?
  • Do you have a morning routine? If so, what does your morning routine consist of?
  • What types of activities do you do throughout the day? How long are you spending on each activity?
  • What are your wearing?
  • What do you eat and drink throughout the day? Where do you eat and drink? Are you alone or with other people?
  • What does your workday look like? Where are you, what are you doing, who are you working with, what does your work schedule look like?
  • What car do you drive?
  • Do you do any exercise, if so, why type and for how long?
  • Do you see anyone else in the day? If so, who? What do you do together?
  • Do you have an evening routine? If so, what does it consist of?
  • What time do you go to bed?
  • How do you feel as you lie in bed?
