I got this inspiration from Yamina Krossa, an amazing woman!
When she had breast cancer, a lot of friends asked her how they could be of help. Yamina didn’t have the energy for small talk or visits. So her answer always was “Send me a postcard with a kind or funny message”.
And that’s what people did. She received more than 150 cards, a living room wall full of support, jokes, friendship, … a wall that made her smile in a difficult time.
Tip for today
Start a postcard campaign for someone who is seriously ill or who has a difficult time.
Who is Yamina Krossa?
Yamina founded the non-profit organization BENETIET to advocate for full reimbursement of breast reconstructions. She is co-founder of the VUB-Yamina Krossa Fund which raises money for groundbreaking cancer research.
