1. Speak from within yourself. Say “I think you did that right” instead of “Well done.”
2. Give a compliment that you mean, children quickly realize when you are not sincere.
3. Give compliments because your child is doing his best or making progress, regardless of the result.

5. Children who do well all the time are often forgotten. They too will float when they get a compliment.
