Chop onions with a smile

In our calendar you’ll find a Tody’s tip: Cook for your friends at their home so they can spend time with their kids (or hobby).
Due to Corona measures, I had to shift between tips and that tip was published in January. Click here if you like to read it again.
Today I’m happy to give you an addition.
If you are cooking for your friends, chances are there are onions in your recipe.
I don’t know about you, but when I cut an onion, my eyes sting and I invariably start to cry.
And that’s pretty annoying when you’re at a friend’s house. It doesn’t exactly boost your self-confidence when you serve your dish with red eyes and smeared mascara. Even if you have cooked deliciously. And in the worst case, your friends might think you really didn’t enjoy cooking for them.
Well, recently I received a fantastic tip from my daughter that really works!
I had already tried some other ‘hacks’, which apparently work too (only not for me).
Tip for today
