The amazing story of the chimp and the hug

On November 13, 2020, Jane Goodall received an honorary doctorate from the University of Hasselt for her work and boundless commitment to nature conservation and animal welfare.
Her study of the social and family life of chimpanzees was ground-breaking and the methods she developed in her research have become the standard norm.
I would therefore like to dedicate a tip to her.
As Dr. Jane Goodall discovered nearly 60 years ago, chimpanzees are so like us; complex and intelligent beings sharing much of our emotions like fear, compassion, and love.
This clip shows us the story of the chimp Wounda, showing what Dr. Goodall calls one of the most extraordinary moments of her entire life. The embrace was seen around the world.
Though Jane had just met Wounda, it was clear to both Dr. Goodall and Wounda that we are all connected, and that love lives beyond language or species.
