Give strangers a compliment on the street

On March 1, I already gave you the tip to give a compliment to at least 5 people.

Today we go a level higher, because giving a compliment to strangers on the street is for many people outside their comfort zone.

Yet I recommend it to everyone. It gives you a warm feeling and it is an easy way to make someone else feel good too, and certainly put a smile on their face. That is why so many of the 365 Smiles tips are about compliments. It’s so easy and they usually have a bigger effect than you suspect!

You don’t know the people you cross on the street, so it’s only possible to compliment their appearance or their attire.

When I walked down the street today, I gave the following compliments: “nice boots” to a woman, “original hair color, but it looks good on you” to a young girl with pink hair, “you look really happy together” to a couple walking hand in hand, “your coat is beautiful”, “nice bag”….

Op 1 maart gaf ik jullie al de tip om minstens aan 5 mensen een compliment te geven.

Vandaag gaan we een niveautje ‘moeilijker’, want aan vreemden op straat een compliment geven is voor velen buiten hun comfortzone.

Toch raad ik het iedereen aan. Het geeft jezelf een heel fijn gevoel én het is een gemakkelijke manier om iemand anders ook een goed gevoel te geven, en al zeker een glimlach te toveren. Vandaar ook dat veel van de 365 Smiles tips over complimentjes gaan. Het is zo gemakkelijk en ze hebben meestal een groter effect dan je vermoedt!

Voorbijgangers ken je niet, dus is het logisch dat je complimentjes over hun uiterlijk of hun kledij geeft.

Toen ik vandaag over straat liep, gaf ik volgende complimentjes: “mooie laarzen” aan een vrouw, “originele haarkleur, maar ’t staat je wel goed” aan een jong meisje met roze haar, “jullie zien er echt gelukkig uit samen” aan een koppeltje dat hand in hand wandelde, “Uw jas is prachtig”, “leuke tas”….

Ik heb me voorgenomen om het volgende keer te filmen zodat ik jullie de blije gezichten van de mensen kan tonen
