Give yourself 5 compliments


Look at me: instead of watching Tiktok movies, I am reading a news site. I got up in time this morning and prepared a delicious lunch: well done Caroline!
I have to admit, saying this to myself does not come naturally and it feels very uncomfortable. We almost all have an aversion to give ourselves a pat on the back, let alone to give ourselves – in the mirror – a genuine compliment.
However, praising ourself is one of the best ways to get more self-confidence. That doesn’t mean you have to start bragging about every little achievement and talent. Rather, it means acknowledging that you are capable, can do certain things well, that you are courageous in addition to your many other qualities.
Tip for today
Give yourself at least 5 compliments today. And do that every day for a while. You will find that you will feel happier and as you begin to give yourself compliments to yourself, the world will soon do this too!
