Thank your boss

Sunday is ‘day of the director‘. So time to pay tribute to your boss also.

Although I have had some TOP bosses myself, I often notice that many people do not think so highly of theirs.

It is logical that you do not always agree with their decisions, and it seems that sometimes the planning, leading &  management go all too easily, but know that they too do their best. It is nice to recognise this and thank them for that. After all, they are only people and a pat on the back feels always good.  

And maybe you’re thinking: “bwa, I don’t know, that feels like sucking up“. Well, as long as a compliment is genuine,  it makes everyone more positive and productive, including your boss. It will contribute to the positive atmosphere!

Be creative in your thank-yous. You could thank your boss: 

• For giving you inspiration. Perhaps you learned a lot and your boss didn’t even realize it.
• For the motivating effect he/she has on you , which ensures that you enjoy working.
• For the patience and support. And of course for the opportunities you get.
• For their mission to make the company successful and thus ensuring your job.  
• For the way your boss always (re)discovers your best qualities and lets you grow and develop
• For keeping the team together and motivated in these difficult times of working from home. This is probably a whole new way of working for him or her as well.
• For creating a fun work environment, where you like to work.
