Bite your tongue instead of saying something hurtful

Tip for today
Instead of saying something that maybe offensive or hurtful to someone, say….. nothing.

It can take a tremendous amount of discipline to remain silent when all you want to do is spew your feelings. But sometimes, keeping quiet for just a little while can make the difference between a major conflict, and a slight bump in the road.

I want to put a disclaimer : 

  1. Do not take this literally, do not really bite your tongue.
  2. When it affects your safety and well being and when it  matters in the long run, better to speak up.

Sometimes silence is not golden. But most of the time, biting your tongue creates peace.
